In 2005, Steven was studying the Book of
Revelation when he read Chapter 3,
verses 15 and 16. They said, "I know your
deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I
wish you were one or the other! So,
because you are lukewarm--neither hot
nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my
mouth."
Even though Steven was active in his
church, a burden to do more was placed
on his heart. He started praying for a new
ministry because the last thing he
wanted was to be seen as a lukewarm
Christian. After weeks of praying a
deacon's wife approached him and said
that God was going to bless this new
ministry.

That afternoon Steven went home and started writing. He wrote every spare
moment he had. With God's guidance, his first novel was completed in five
months.
Now what? He knew that it was difficult to have a book published by an unknown
author. So he returned to what had worked thus far--prayer. He searched for
Christian publishers on the Internet. Many sites were listed, but only one would
open up on his antiquated computer and dial-up Internet Service Provider. Steven
sent his manuscript to the publisher and was offered a contract!
And a new career and, more importantly, a new ministry was born!
Steven gives God all the glory and praise. "Without our Lord Guardian of Light
would only be a dream. God was my agent and he placed this book where it
needed to be." says Steven.
