Steven Hunt
Steven Hunt was born in Salina, Kansas, to Milton and Anneta Hunt.  Milton was a career military
man, so shortly after Steven's birth they moved to Puerto Rico for three years.  After leaving Puerto
Rico, they moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where a residence was established for eleven years while
Milton served in Vietnam and a tour in the Philippines.  After Milton retired from the U.S. Air
Force, the family moved to Davis, Oklahoma, and set up roots.   Steven graduated from Davis High
School in 1981.

After briefly attending Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, Oklahoma; East Central State
University, Ada, Oklahoma; and Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Moore, Oklahoma, Steven
joined the U.S. Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist and was stationed at RAF Alconbury,
England, for four years.  While in the U.S. Air Force, he earned his Associate of Applied Science
degree from the Community College of the Air Force and was named Law Enforcement Specialist of
the Year for his unit in 1986.  He separated from the military in 1989, after suffering a broken neck
in the line of duty.

In 1990, Steven joined the Broken Arrow Police Department, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, as a
patrolman.  While a member of the police department, Steven was a member of the Special
Operations Team, a Field Training Officer, and an instructor in numerous law enforcement topics.
Working full time and attending college during the day, he obtained his Bachelor's degree from
Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, in 1993. After receiving numerous awards,
including Officer of the Year in 1992, Steven left the force in 1998 to accept a position as a Deputy
U.S. Marshal.  His employment with the U.S. Marshal's Office was short-lived after suffering from
heat exhaustion and complications from his military injury during training.

In 1998, Steven went to work for the State of Oklahoma and transferred to the Oklahoma Attorney
General's Office in 1999.  He is a criminal investigator and a commissioned peace officer
investigating crimes concerning Medicaid in nursing homes, doctors' offices, pharmacies, and other
facilities.  In addition to his investigating crimes, Steven is a certified firearms instructor, armorer,
and continues to teach many other aspects of law enforcement.

He is married to Cynthia and has two children, Spencer and Baylee.  He is the proud grandfather to
one grandson, Brecken.
